Have we met yet? If not, lets figure out how to meet up and chat about what I can offer you during your pregnancy and birth. Until then, let me give you a little background about myself.
I have lived in West Virginia all my life, and its something that brings me pride. I come from a long line of hard working, teachers, nurses and farmers and I seem to be a direct result of those that came before me. I am passionate about serving my community and it seems it was only a matter of time before I started attending births and supporting families.
My introduction to birth came while pregnant with my own children. I found myself pregnant after a miscarriage and wanting extra support as I navigated the excitement of a second chance and the deep mourning I was still experiencing from the loss of our first pregnancy. We hired a doula and by the time I gave birth I knew that wanted to provide that same level of support to other families. When my first child was 8 months old I took a doula training and soaked up every minute of it! While raising my young children I've spent most of my support hours providing families with Postpartum Care and in 2018 I added Labor Support. It has been an incredible honor to serve families during what can be the most vulnerable, private and powerful experience of their lives.
